Central defender speaks out on interest from Man Utd amid transfer rumour
Manchester United’s summer transfer plans will already be well underway, whether Louis van Gaal will be the manager or not. The board will be putting their feelers out there to see who is possibly interested in a move, and the latest man mentioned by the media is Kostas Manolas of Roma.
The centre-back was quizzed about these rumours, and here is his response:
“Man Utd? I know nothing, my agent tells me nothing. After the end of the season we’ll look at things together with Roma.” Manolas said.
At the end of the day you expect him to be professional, and remain committed to his current side Roma. The Greek international has been an outstanding acquisition for the Serie A side, and as you’ imagine many clubs have been eyeing him for a summer transfer.
Chelsea and Manchester United are both thought to be keen in the 24-year old, who could offer plenty of years service in a key area of the field. However that comes with a cost and Manchester United would have to pay a hefty fee to bring him in.
