Colombia's national U-23 coach, Carlos 'Pisces' Restrepo, has hinted that his Olympic team will be strengthened with some players from the senior national team ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics in August, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.

Colombia are in Group B along with Nigeria, Sweden and Japan.

According to a Colombian newspaper, Futbolred, James Rodríguez, Juan Cuadrado, Carlos Bacca, David Ospina are just a few of the players who have expressed willingness to participate at the Games in Rio.

"Other players have shown interest in playing in Rio but we must deal with their clubs first," Restrepo told Futbolred.com.

"We have to look at the programmes of the clubs because sometimes going to both tournaments (The Copa Americas and the Olympics) is very difficult."

On his side's chance in Group B, Restrepo said it was an even group in which all teams have aspirations to qualify but Colombia must believe in themselves to advance.

The Tricolor will have to play their first two games in Manaus against Sweden and Japan on the 4th and 7th of August before their final group game Nigeria on the 10th August.
