Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi has denied allegations from fans that he laughed at his team-mate Alvaro Morata during Sunday's Community Shield match despite being captured by the camera.
Morata put a spot-kick wide during the shoot-out defeat to Arsenal at Wembley and footage subsequently emerged which showed Batshuayi laughing at something behind the Spain international's back.
Batshuayi began the game before being replaced by expensive new signing Morata and, with the pair apparently rivals for a starting berth in the Premier League starting XI, it was suggested on social media that the Belgian enjoyed his team-mate's spot-kick woes.
However, Batshuayi wrote on his Twitter feed: "Wow lol some people really believe I laughed at my teammate and/or us losing? "Sorry to disappoint but I wasn't."
The striker then posted a photo of himself and Victor Moses celebrating the latter's opener at the weekend, and added: "I'm enjoying every goal for us scored by anyone in the team. "That's the only thing you have to know. Have a blessed day."
